Tracy Byrd, Mark Chesnutt, and Zona Jones announce
the "Beaumont Boys Bash".

Country music stars and Southeast Texans Tracy Byrd, Mark Chesnutt and Zona
Jones will come home in April for a three-day-long series of charity events.

The trio announced the Beaumont Boys Bash during a news conference and
breakfast Wednesday at Ford Pavilion.

The festivities, which will be held April 25-27,
will raise money for the Children's Miracle Network
in Beaumont, Netcasters Youth Ministries, T
he Garth House, Boys' and Girls' Haven and
the Southeast Texas Humane Society.

The Bash will include a Wild Game and Casino Night hosted by Chesnutt at Ford
Arena, a Big Bass Tournament hosted by Byrd at Lake Sam Rayburn, a golf
tournament at the Bayou Din Golf Club hosted by Jones and a concert at Ford
Pavilion featuring all three musicians, plus another, yet-to-be-determined,
headliner.

Chesnutt said he was excited about having another opportunity to play locally (he
has performed regularly at Ford Pavilion over the past several Labor Day
weekends).

"If it were up to us, we wouldn't play anywhere but here," he said. "We travel all
over the world, but this is where we got our start. The people here have been with
us since the beginning."

The festivities are an extension of Byrd's Homecoming Weekend, which, until
2005, had been an annual event. It was canceled, however, in 2006 due to
lingering damage from Hurricane Rita.

"All of us were just trying to get our houses fixed and get back to normal," Byrd
said

The Homecoming Weekend was canceled this year after organizer Angela Baker,
whom Byrd described as the brains of the event, stepped down to do some
hurricane relief work.

Byrd said the event will no longer be "my work, but rather our work," referring to
Chesnutt and Jones. He also said the three now are working on another headliner
to come on board for the concert. They don't yet know who that might be.

"We'll try to get some of our buddies from Nashville to come down, that have
written some songs you've heard on the radio," he said.

Ticket prices and times for some of the events have not yet been set. However,
the Wild Game Dinner is April 25, the Big Bass Tournament and concert is April
26 and the golf tournament is April 27.

Album Update

Mark has been in the Recording Studio for the past month, and even though
he still has a some recording left to do, we thought we would give you a little
update. First of all, the Cd will be released in April 29, and there will be 11
songs on it including the current single Rollin' With The Flow which is at
Number 22 on the chart. Some of the other titles include 2 from Mark and
Roger Springer and 2 from Jimmy Ritchey (who produced this set and the last
2 CDs from Mark) plus a Tony Stampley song and the very last song that Keith
Whitley ever wrote.
Mark's cuts are "Long Way To Go" about leaving Beaumont to go on the road,
Man In The Mirror about looking in the mirror and seeing his dad. The Keith
Whitley tune is called She Never Got Me Over You and was co-written by Hank
Cochran and Dean Dillon. From what we understand from Hank, the song was
suppose to be on the next CD Keith was to do and after his death (the week
they wrote the song) Hank put it away and it has never been played for anyone
until it was given to Mark.
Jimmy Ritchey's tunes are What You Got Going On and Things To Do In
Wichita. Roger Springer teamed with Tony Martin on "Woman" and Tony
Stampley (Joe Stampley's son) penned If The Devil Brought You Roses.
"Heard It In A Love Song" nominated for European CMA "Album Of
